WASC Accreditation

August 1, 2017- Mountain Park School received the official letter from the Accrediting Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges that MPS was granted a full, six-year clear accreditation! MUSD Posts Record-Breaking Graduation Rates

Monrovia Unified’s graduation rate climbed to 92.6 percent in 2015-16 – the district's best overall performance since the state began tracking figures for four-year student cohorts. This overall graduation rate encompasses alternative education, which is traditionally lower than comprehensive rates.

University of La Verne Offers Guaranteed Admission and Financial Help to MUSD Students

The University of La Verne will offer guaranteed admission to students from our school district who meet still unspecified minimum requirements in their standardized test scores and weighted GPAs.

Students who are accepted through the program, called the Partnership for Access to College Education, or PACE, will also have their application fees waived and receive at least $10,000 in financial aid per year. Applications are open now for the fall semester.

Mayor Recognizes Students at State of the City Address

On February 8, 2016 at the Krikorian Premiere Theater in Old Town Monrovia, the Mayor and City Council of Monrovia presented their annual State of the City Address to report the progress of the entire Monrovia community on pertinent topics and accomplishments the City has accomplished over the past year. Eight members of our student leadership team were present to represent COHS and enjoyed a meal from McDonald's as well as popcorn and water during the presentation.

School Safety

Monrovia Unified School District is working closely with the Monrovia Police Department in regards to the LAUSD bomb threat. At this time, there is no threat to Monrovia Unified School District. Schools will be open and follow their regular schedules. Officers will be around our schools today to provide reassurance, not in response to any threats.
