¡VIVE LA VIDA! Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Celebrate this month with us when we remember the Independence Days of several Latin American countries. In California, we have a rich history that began even before the Spanish settlers, but that has continued to enrich our lives through the art, language, music, food, culture, and a fraternal sense of community in our Spanish-Speaking communities. We have several ideas and activities that we will share on a weekly basis that will make this month a special one so, ¡Vive la vida!
Other things to do:
Make a playlist of Hispanic artists to listen to.
Ask a friend or relative who grow up in a Latin American country what life was like growing up there.
Enjoy a classic Latin American dish at a local restaurant.
Support a Hispanic or Latino-owned business.
Take a dance class.
Play a game of lotería or dominoes.
Binge a Spanish-language TV show.
